U.S.S. Constitution, built in 1797,Old ronsides,as she is the famous sail warship in American history with a length of 53.3 meters, a breadth of 13.3 meters, a displacement of 2200 tons and 450 staff. She could move at a speed of 12 knots. In draft, she would be equipped with 40 cannons, but after being revised, it eventually had 54 cannons. In 1798, she took part in the battle against Britain navy and bravely defeated many Britain warships. She was called "the determinative person". In 1833, 1877, 1897 and 1925 she was repaired and now she is maintained as a national monument at the Charleston navy yard in Boston , Massachusetts.
